Working Together

As the holidays approach, I am extremely thankful that in the past year I have been able to connect with other outstanding anesthesiologists to help me provide more timely coverage for all our offices that request dental anesthesia services.

In the Orange County and Inland Empire areas, I am privileged to be working with Dr. George Istaphanous, M.D., and Dr. Janice Chen, D.D.S.

Dr. George is a board-certified pediatric anesthesiologist, having trained at the University of Cincinnati Children's Hospital. After his training, he served as an Associate Professor at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, and performed many of the anesthetics for complex congenital heart operations.

Dr. Janice received her DDS from UCSF Dental School, and then went into private practice in Washington. She then returned to California to complete her dental anesthesiology training at Loma Linda University. She is an Assistant Professor at the Loma Linda School of Dentistry, where she provides dental anesthesia for children with very complicated medical conditions.

Along with Dr. George in the San Diego area, I am very proud to also be working with Dr. Patrick Demars, M.D., and Dr. Scott Gillin, M.D. Dr. Pat has over 30 years of experience, and is a board-certified pediatric anesthesiologist and former Vice Chief of Anesthesia at Rady's Children's Hospital in San Diego. Dr. Scott is also a board-certified pediatric anesthesiologist with whom I actually trained with at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles many years ago. He is also a staff member at Rady's Children's Hospital.

We are all independent doctors, but we share the same philosophy and commitment to patient safety. Together, we can provide the highest quality and safety of anesthesia care in dental offices anywhere from the Inland Empire south to the Mexican border!
